The techno scene stands for freedom, community and a conscious way of treating one another. We live by these values at Technostoff, too. We are aware of our responsibility and work continuously to minimise our ecological footprint. Our approach: honest sustainability instead of greenwashing. We rely on fair production and transparent supply chains.
On-Demand Production: Your contribution against overproduction
Every item you order from us is finished by hand, on demand, in Kassel. That is not only a promise of quality, but also our most important contribution to sustainability. We only produce what is really needed – no warehouse, no surplus, no destruction.
- No overproduction: We avoid unnecessary stock and the waste of valuable resources.
- Less textile waste: Every item produced has an owner – you.
- Conscious consumption: You receive a freshly made piece, crafted with care just for you.
Shipping & Packaging: Reduced to the essentials
We think ahead when it comes to shipping, too. We optimise our packaging to save material and volume – and choose partners who do the same.
- Recycled materials: Our shipping boxes are made from recycled cardboard.
- Minimised volume: Where it makes sense, we use space-saving poly mailers made of recyclable LDPE.
- Carbon-neutral shipping: We ship with DHL GoGreen and offset the CO₂ emissions of every parcel.
Our goals for the future: Organic & Recycled
We haven't reached our goal yet, but we have a clear plan. Our next big step is the switch to more sustainable materials – GOTS-certified organic cotton and recycled fibres.
Our goal: By 2027 we want to use exclusively textiles made from organic cotton and recycled fibres.
This path is a challenge, because sustainable materials are often more expensive and not always available in the qualities we want. But we're sticking with it.
What we already do
- Green electricity: Our production in Kassel runs on electricity from renewable energy.
- Durability: We rely on high-quality finishing techniques so you can enjoy your pieces for a long time.
- Transparency: We communicate openly about our progress and challenges – without sugar-coating.
